The Dedan Kimathi University of Technology – DeKUT Student Portal has currently been activated and opened for students to login with their university’s credentials to complete all academic registration and activities for the 2025/2026 academic year.
All recoginized students are to visit the online portal to register for their courses, check semester results, activate student email among other activities using the guidelines in this post.
DeKUT Student Portal Login
Follow these steps to log into the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology student portal;
- Visit the DeKUT website at www.dkut.ac.ke
- Click on the Student portal link from the menu
- Enter your student email in the email input field
- Enter your registration number as the initial password
- Click on the log in button
NB: Your username is your student email address. The initial password is your registration number. You will be required to change your password once you log in.

How to get your DeKUT Student Email
Students who have been offered admission by the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology are required to obtain their student email using these steps;
- Access the DeKUT student email portal via www.portal.dkut.ac.ke/site/email
- Enter your registration number exactly as written on your admission letter
- Enter your lastname or firstname in the name input field
- Click on the search button
- The details of your email will be loaded and displayed on the page

DeKUT Student Email Login
Follow these steps to log into your DeKUT student email after you have successfuly received your email from the online portal; The DeKUT student email service is based on google gmail and as a result students are required to either download the gmail mobile app or use an updated browser to access their emails.
- Download and install the Gmail app on your phone
- Lunch the app and click on add another account
- Enter your DeKUT student email address in the input field
- Enter your password and click on the login button to complete the sign-in process

How to check Result on DeKUT Student Portal
Follow these guidelines to check your semester results on the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology portal;
- Log into the student portal with your email and password
- Click on the Course categories button
- Select your prefered course
- Click on the expand all button
- The results of each semester will be displayed on the page

How to reset DeKUT student password
Follow these steps to reset your student portal password online;
- Visit the password reset page www.portal.dkut.ac.ke/site/passwordreset
- Enter your registration number and email
- Click on the reset password button
- A reset code will be sent to your email
- Click on the already have a code button
- Enter your student email and the code that was sent to your email
- Click on the submit information button to finalize the reset process
