Access the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology – JKUAT Student Portal and log in with your student number and password to complete all student self-service activities online such as unit registration, checking semester results, making payment for fees and hostel among others. This post will assist both fresh and continuing students with guidelines on how to create a JKUAT student portal account, how to register Units for the semester, how to enrol on the student notice board, and how to activate your JKUAT student email.

How to Create a JKUAT Student Portal Account

Fresh students admitted into the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture are required to register on the student portal with their admission number with these steps;

  • Access the JKUAT Student Portal via www.portal.jkuat.ac.ke
  • Click on the Create Account Button
  • Select the Student Role option
  • Enter your Student Admission Number
  • Enter your password and confirm your input
  • Click on the Submit button to finalize your registration

JKUAT Student Portal Login

Follow these steps to log into your JKUAT Student portal with your student number and password;

  • Visit the JKUAT Student Portal via www.portal.jkuat.ac.ke
  • Enter your username and password 
  • Click on the Login button
  • Wait for the system to authenticate and redirect to the dashboard

JKUAT Online Unit Registration Process 2024

To be considered fully registered for the semester, JKUAT students are supposed to log into the student portal and register their courses with these steps;

  • Log into your JKUAT Portal via www.portal.jkuat.ac.ke
  • Navigate to the unit registration page
  • Select the list of courses to be registered for the semester
  • Add and confirm these course selection
  • Preview your selections and click on the confirm registration button to complete your registration

Important Notice:

  • Registration requires that a student pay 50% of the tuition fees plus 100% of other applicable charges (60%).
  • Synchronize your units in the LMS for learning purposes upon unit approval
  • JKUAT Unit Registration process is scheduled to end on 7th October 2024
  • There shall be no manual registration henceforth
  • Students who have deferred their programs should get in touch with the accountant for rectification

How to Activate JKUAT Student Email

All JKUAT students are required to use the University email addresses for all academic activities. Follow these steps to acquire your JKUAT Student email;

  • Visit the JKUAT Student email portal via www.emailgen.jkuat.ac.ke
  • Enter your registration in the input field
  • Click on the Search button
  • If email details are found
  • Follow the 6 steps provided to activate your email

How to Enrol on the JKUAT Notice Board

All information and updates for the JKUAT SODeL (Distance Learning) students are uploaded on the online notice board and as such, all students are adviced to enrol on the notice board with these guidelines;

  • Visit the JKUAT Website at www.jkuat.ac.ke
  • Scroll to the page bottom and click on the noticeboard link
  • Enrol yourself on it
