The Kenyan National Intelligence Service Career portal allows persons interested in working with the National Intelligence unit to create personal profiles which can be used for application purposes. Below are the required document for the NIS application and how to register and log in to the  NIS Career portal.

Kenya National Intelligence Service Entry Requirements

Below are the entry requirements for the Kenyan NIS

Graduate Trainees

  • Prospective candidates must be aged between 22-31 years
  • Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), mean grade C+ (plus) or it’s equivalent
  • Be in possession of a degree from a recognized institution
  • Must be a Kenyan citizen without a criminal record and is physically fit

Diploma Trainees

  • Prospective candidates must be aged between 20-30 years
  • Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), mean grade C (plain) or it’s equivalent
  • Be in possession of a college diploma, earned over at least 18 months of study in a recognized institution
  • Must be a Kenyan citizen without a criminal record and is physically fit

Certificate Trainees

  • Prospective candidates must be aged between 20-26 years
  • Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), mean grade D+ or its equivalent
  • Be in possession of a relevant Certificate from a recognized institution, covering at least 6 months of study
  • Must be a Kenyan citizen without a criminal record and is physically fit

Documents required for Kenyan NIS Application

Below are the required documents when submitting your application to the Kenyan National Security Service career portal.

  1. National ID (Mandatory)
  2. Passport photo image (Mandatory)
  3. University/College/Tertiary education completion certificate(s)-(Mandatory)
  4. O-Level School completion certificate (Mandatory)
  5. O-Level School leaving certificate(Optional)

How to Register for the Kenyan NIS application portal

  • Access the Kenyan NIS Registration portal
  • Enter your first name and Email address
  • Click on the register button
  • Wait for your account to be created

Login to the NIS Career Portal

  • Access the Kenyan NIS Registration portal
  • Enter your username and password
  • Click on the login button
  • Wait for the platform to authenticate your credentials
