The Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund – NSFAF Student Portal has been activated for interested and qualified students to submit their applications for financial assistance for the 2024 NSFAF bursaries. NSFAF Application Summary
- NSFAF provides financial assistance to eligible students mainly in the form of loans, while grants are available for the (a) top ten performers and (b) two best-performers in Grade 12 per region, per gender, who meet NSFAF funding criteria and as ranked by Directorate of National Examination and Assessment.
- No student should be considered for NSFAF funding if he/she has already benefited from a program at the same level of qualification framework.
- An applicant, who fails to submit all required documents before the closing date of the application period, will be rejected.

Candidates interested in applying for the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund – NSFAF must meet the following eligibility requirements;

Documents Required for NSFAF Application 2024
Students applying for the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) are required to upload original copies of the following documents;
- Certified your birth certificate
- Certified copy of your Namibian Identification (ID)
- Certified copy/copies of your School Leaving Certificate(s) [Grade 11/12 or equivalent, (statement of results for applicants who completed in 2023); Grade 10 certificate for mature age entry only
- Certified copy of your mother and father’s ID or Death certificate, or a Declaration made with the Namibian Police made by any remaining parent/guardian
- Certified copy of your payslip or with the company stamp if the applicant is employed or a declaration of unemployment
- Parents/guardians certified copy of their payslip or with the company stamp or a declaration if they are unemployed.
- In case the applicant is married, provide the Spouse’s ID and payslip instead of the parents;
- Mature Age Entry Scheme in Public Institutions Only must provide the following
- Copy of proof of mature age admission letter and test results from a Public Institution
- Copy of work experience, (applicant applying through Mature Age entry, 3 years for grade 12 certificate holder and 5 years for grade 10 certificate holder);
- Copy of evaluation from Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) for all foreign qualifications (including grade 12 certificates).
- Copy of a diploma on NQF level 6 for applicants applying with 22 points in 5 subjects intending to do a bachelor’s degree (local institutions only)

How to Create a NSFAF Student Portal Account
Students applying for the NSFAF bursary for the first time are required to register for an account with these steps before submitting their NSFAF Online Application;
- Visit the NSFAF Website at www.nsfaf.na
- Click on the student portal button at the top right corner of the web page
- Click on the apply and register button on the next page
- Fill out the registration form with all your required details
- Namibian ID
- Firstname, Lastname, Gender
- Email Address, Phone number
- Fill out your study details including your institution, level of study, and program of study
- Complete your eligibility check
- Fill out the personal details of your parent/guardian
- Add your current qualifications and upload original copies of all the required documents
- Click on the Create User button to complete the registration process
How to Log into NSFAF Student Portal
Follow these steps to log into the NSFAF student portal with your username and password if you already have an account;
- Visit the NSFAF Student Portal at https://students.nsfaf.na/Pages/Home.aspx
- Enter your username and password
- Click on the login button
- Wait for the system to authenticate and redirect you to the dashboard
How to Reset your NSFAF Student Portal
Students who have forgotten the credentials to their student portal can reset their account with these steps;
- Visit the NSFAF Student Portal at https://students.nsfaf.na/Pages/Home.aspx
- Click on the Forget Password button
- Enter the email address used to register your account or your NSFAF ID
- A password reset code will be generated and sent to your email or phone number
- Enter the reset code and click on the submit button
- Enter a new password and confirm your password
- Click on the change password button to complete your password reset
Closing Date for NSFAF Application 2024
Application for the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund for the 2024 session will start on the 29th of November 2023 and end on the 29th of February 2024.
