Umgungundlovu TVET Admission Requirements
Aside from the specific program requirements, Applicants must meet the college’s general entry requirements below to be considered for admission;
- Applicant must be at least 16 years or older at the time of application
- NC(V): Have a Grade 9 Qualification or ABET level 4 certificate
- Report 191 NATED: Have a matric certificate or be completing matric
Additional Requirements
- NCVI Grade 9, 10 or 11 with an aggregate of 40%
- N4 Business Studies Grade 12 with an aggregate of 40%
- N4 Financial Management Grade 12 with an aggregate of 40% and Grade 12 Accounting
- N4 Farming Management & Mechanisation Grade 12 with a minimum of 40% Maths/50% Maths Lit.
- N4 Engineering Grade 12 with a minimum of 40% in Maths and Physical Science OR minimum of 40% in Technical Maths and Technical Science

Umgungundlovu Application Guide
The application process at the Umgungundlovu TVET College is divided into three (3) steps;
- Career Guidance Exploration: This step ensures you know which career to choose.
- Complete aptitude test on the Profiler System: This step will asses the understanding capabilities of the applicant in the programme of study. (Visit the Learner profile)
- Complete the Online Application: Log into the application portal to complete the application form.

How to apply at Umgungundlovu TVET College Online
- Visit the Umgungundlovu TVET College Application portal via https://umgungundlovu.coltech.co.za
- Click on the Select a Course button
- Select the application year and preferred campus of study
- Complete all the information regarding the course you selected
- Fill out the form with all the required details (eg. ID Type, ID Number, Password, Email, Phone number, etc)
- Upload all the required documents and certificates
- Preview your entries for errors
- Enter a username and password. (Note: Your username will be your ID number and the password needs to be 6 characters with a Capital letter, a number and a special character. eg: Utvet@3. Please write down your password; you will need this to access your portal to check your application status.
- Click on the submit button to complete your application
- Print out two (2) copies of the completed application form
- Make payment for your application with the reference number on your application printout.
Note: Students requiring a bursary are advised to apply for NSFAS before submitting their application.
