GES Academic Calendar 2023/2024. The Ghana Education Service (GES) is pleased to announce the release of the 2024/2025 academic calendar. The 39-week calendar was designed for Kindergarten (KG), Primary, and Junior High School (JHS) students. In this article, we will outline a detailed calendar as presented by GES to enable you to plan for all your academic activities as a teacher.
Summary of the 2024/2025 GES Academic Calendar
This GES academic just like the previous calendars has been divided into three (3) terms which are first term, second term, and third term. The First term of the 2024/2025 academic calendar for basic school students will start on 3rd October 2024 and end on 22nd December 2024. The second term will start on 9th January 2024 and end on 11th April 2024 while the third term will start on 30th April 2024 and end on 25th July 2024.
The first term vacation for 2024/2025 academic calendar will start on 23rd December 2024 and end on 8th January 2024. Second term vacation will start on 12th April 2024 and end on 29th April 2024 for all KG, Primary, and JHS students.
