Foreign Tertiary Scholarship 2024 Requirements
A. Information for existing beneficiaries
Existing foreign scholarship beneficiaries will be given a portal to enable them renew their awards annually online
B. Bilateral Applications
Prospective applicants for bilateral scholarship awards will be required to complete the online application upon confirmation of their awards by the awarding country
C. Non-Bilateral Scholarship Awards
All applications for non-bilateral awards will be received online when advertised
Scholarship Application Deadline 2024/2025
Continuing students should apply online between1St April – 15Th May of the 2024/2025 academic year
New students who had late admission should apply between 1st – 30th September of 2024/2025 academic year
Local Tertiary Scholarships Mode of Application
The Local Tertiary awards are in the form of payment of Thesis and Bursary grants to Postgraduate Students in Public Tertiary Institutions in Ghana
The award also covers payment of Disability Grants to Physically Challenged Ghanaian Students in Tertiary Institutions
Also the award covers Long Stay Allowance for Medical Science students in Public Tertiary Institutions in the Country
- Application forms are downloaded from the Secretariat’s website after a registration code is sent to the various institutions at the beginning of the academic year
- Duly completed application forms must be endorsed by the designated institutional authority and submitted through the Dean of Graduate School to the Scholarships Secretariat
- This facility does not apply to sandwich, part-time, private/fee-paying students in public tertiary institutions
- The documents are vetted by the Secretariat to ensure conformity with eligibility criteria
- For Disability allowance, completed application forms must be accompanied with medical certificate stating the percentage of disability

Foreign Tertiary Scholarships
Foreign tertiary awards cover scholarships at the tertiary level of education in a foreign country
