How to Apply for TSC Online Transfer 2024. The Kenya Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in an effort to accelerate staff management and also reduce manual human resources (HR) activities has made it possible for teachers to apply for transfer online using the TSC Portal. In this article, we will discuss all the requirements for TSC transfer and how to apply for TSC transfer among other important TSC activities.
Documents Required for TSC Transfer Application
A Teacher who intends to apply for a Teachers Service Commission – TSC transfer must have the following information and documents ready;
- TSC ID Number
- Active Phone Number
- Email address
TSC Transfer Application Process
Follow these steps to submit your application for the TSC transfer online;
- Visit the TSC Website at http://www.tsc.go.ke
- Click on Online Services and select HRMIS then click on Teacher Transfer
- Enter your TSC No, ID Number, and Mobile number
- Click on the login button
- A six-digit authorization code will be sent through your mobile number
- Enter the authorization code and click on the Login button (Note: The system will detect if you are
either a primary or a post-primary teacher by default) - Click on the Submit a Request for Transfer option to proceed
- Fill out the transfer application form with all the required details
- Length of stay in current school and sub-county
- Enter the length of stay in the county
- Reason for the transfer
- Read and tick the transfer terms and conditions
- Click on the OK button to proceed with your application
- Click on the File Attachment(s) button to attach supporting document(s) in case the request for transfer is due to insecurity and/or medical grounds.
- Click on the submit button to submit your application
- Once your application is successfully delivered, the application status will be updated to Pending. (Note the application status will keep on changing until a final decision is made).
Notice: An email will be sent to your Head of Institution via the HOI Portal about your transfer request. They will be required to log in to comment and approve your transfer. The comments or decisions by your Head of institution will have little or no influence on your transfer since the final decision lies with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) management.

How to Approve TSC Transfer Applications from the HOI Portal
As a TSC appointed head of an institution, you will be required to review and approve or reject all transfer requests that are submitted by teachers in your school. These steps will assist you with the steps on how to log into the HOI Portal to review all teacher transfer applications;
- Visit the TSC Website at http://www.tsc.go.ke
- Click on Online Services and select HRMIS then click on Teacher Transfer
- Enter your TSC No, ID Number, and Mobile number
- Click on the login button
- The HoI (Head of Institution) portal will display a list of all incoming transfer requests
- Click the Action button to recommend the transfer and enter your comments
- Click the Submit button
