The Independent Electoral Commission – IEC of South Africa is pleased to announce the recruitment of new personnel for multiple roles as part of the 2024 IEC recruitment exercise. In this post, we will assist you with guidelines on how to create your IEC employee profile which is required to apply for vacancies.

About the South Africa Electoral Commission

IEC is a permanent body created by the Constitution to manage free and fair elections at all levels of government. Although publicly funded and accountable to parliament IEC still remains independent of the government.

How to Create Your IEC Employee Profile

Follow these steps to create your applicant profile on the IEC e-recruitment portal;

• Visit the Independent Electoral Commission – IEC Website at https://www.elections.org.za
• Scroll to the page bottom and click on the jobs link
• Click on the register profile on the next page
• Fill out the registration form with all the required details
  • RSA ID Number
  • Firstname and Lastname
  • Select confirmation type (Email, Phone)
  •  Phone number
  • Email address
• Read and accept the privacy policy by ticking the checkbox
• Click on the Create Profile button to complete the registration process
• A confirmation code will be sent to your phone or email address to confirm your registration

IEC e-Recruitment Login

Follow these procedures to log into your Independent Electoral Commission – IEC e-recruitment portal once you register for an account;

1. Visit the Recruitment website via elections.org.za
2. Select Get Started and then click on Login
3. Enter your Email and Password
4. Click on Login to access your portal dashboard

Steps to Apply for a Job on the IEC e-Recruitment Portal

You  can apply for the Electoral Commission of South Africa – IEC Jobs once you create your applicant’s profile with these steps;

1. Log in to the IC Job Portal
2. Accept the Terms and Conditions
3. Click on the View Profile tab to create your profile
4. Click the Create Profile button to set up your personal profile
5. Enter your personal information
6. Click Save & Continue to proceed to the Language Proficiency page, where you will be redirected to the e-recruitment process
7. Provide your language proficiency
8. Click Save & Continue to move to the Qualifications section
9. Enter your Qualifications and Work experience
10. Upload necessary Documents 
11. Review your Application summary and click on Submit
