KPA Internship Requirements 2024
Persons interested in applying for an internship at the Kenya Ports Authority must meet the following requirements;
- Be a Kenyan citizen not over the age of 34 years.
- Be an unemployed graduate from a recognized training institution who has completed a degree/diploma/
certificate course and has not been exposed to any work experience related to their area of study since graduation. - Not have benefited from a similar internship program.

- Degree/Diploma in Maritime Transport and Logistics /Maritime Management
- Degree /Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Government Trade Tests II or III or Certificate of
Experiential Learning. - Degree/Diploma Information Technology/Business Information Technology
- Degree/Diploma Electrical /Mechanical Engineering/Government Trade Tests II or III or Certificate of Experiential Learning
- Bachelor/Diploma Civil Engineering/ Government Trade/Tests II or III or Certificate of Experiential Learning.
- Degree /Diploma in Marine Engineering/Mechatronics/ Government Trade Tests II or III or Certificate of
Experiential Learning. - Degree in Health, Safety & Environment.
- Degree in Procurement/Purchasing & Supplies.
- Degree /Diploma Human Resource Management/Social Sciences.
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Building and Construction/Government Trade Tests II or III or Certificate of Experiential Learning
- Degree in Actuarial Science/Risk Management & Insurance/Maritime Insurance.
- Degree/Diploma in Public Relations and Corporate Communication.
- Degree in Economics/Statistics/Research/ Data Science
- Degree in Marketing
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education
- Diploma in Nautical Science/Certificates of Competence in Maritime Operations.
- Degree/Diploma in Marine/ Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics/Government Trade Tests II or III or Certificate of Experiential Learning.
- Degree/Diploma in Criminology & Security Management
