About KUCCPS Student Portal Applications

Kenyan Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is a student placement agency that selects applicants for admission to universities and colleges for Government sponsorship.

All Kenyan students can apply for the KUCCPS placement through the KUCCPS Student Portal for placement into all KUCCPS institutions. Applicants interested in the degree programs are advised to check their Weighted cluster points for the 20 clusters when selecting a program before proceeding with their applications.

KUCCPS Applicant Requirements

You must meet the following requirements for the KUCCPS placement programme

  • An applicant must be a Kenyan citizen.
  • Sponsorship will be eligible to all applicants provided that the KCSE Candidates of the year preceding the selection and those who have never benefited before are given priority.
  • The minimum admission requirement to apply for degree programmes will be C+.
  • The minimum admission requirement to apply for a diploma will be C-.
  • The minimum admission requirement to apply for a craft certificate will be D.
  • The minimum admission requirement to apply for an Artisan certificate will be E.
  • Applications shall be subjected to minimum subject requirements from regulators and training institutions where applicable.

KUCCPS Cut-Off Points

The KUCCPS Cut-off points for any year are the weighted cluster points for the last competitively placed applicant.

  1. The cut-off points are not predetermined and will not be available while applications are ongoing.
  2. Cut-off points vary by programme, institution and application year.
  3. Previous years’ cut-off points are provided to guide applicants during the application process.
  4. One can apply for a maximum of six choices for degree courses and four for diploma, certificate and artisan programmes.
