University of Mines and Technology – UMaT Admission portal for 2024/2025 academic year has been activated for applicants to submit their applications for undergraduate, diploma and certificate programmes. In this post, we will assist our readers with guidelines on how to buy UMaT admission forms online, how to fill out your UMaT application form, and how to check UMaT admission status if you have already submitted your application.

UMaT Admission Voucher 2024

The first stage of your UMaT application process is to first obtain an application form that comes with a SERIAL NUMBER and PIN. This form may also be referred to as an admission voucher. Applicants will need the details on this form to log into the admission portal and fill out their application form.

The Cost of the UMaT admission voucher depends on the type of application. (That is: Undergraduate, Diploma and Certificate). You can buy the vouchers at the following prices;

How to buy the UMat Admission voucher

You can purchase the admission e-voucher from these sales outlets: Ghana Post Office, Ecobank, Cal Bank, GCB Bank, Zenith Bank, Fidelity Bank, Access Bank, and UBA nationwide.

You may also buy the UMaT admission voucher online and pay with mobile money (MOMO) or bank card using the online Universities and Colleges’ Admission Vouchers website.

UMaT  Online Application Process 2024/2025

The next stage of your UMaT admission process is to visit the admission portal and log in with the SERIAL NUMBER and PIN to fill out your application form using these steps;

1. Log into the admission application portal
2. Enter the SERIAL NUMBER on your form in the reference field
3. Enter the PIN in the PIN input field
4. Click on the login button
5. Wait for the system to authenticate and redirect to the application form
6. Fill out the application form with all the required information
7. Select your preferred programmes of study (Maximum of four) 
8. Upload all the required documents
9. Preview your details and submit if every information is correct
10. An SMS will be sent to your phone number to confirm the registration process
11. Print the application summary, sign and attach the relevant documents and post them to the University of Mines and Technology

UMaT Programme Selection Process

1. Direct Applicants (regular applicants for BSc) are required to select four (4) distinct programmes
2. Direct Applicants (regular applicants for Diploma) are required to select only one (1) Programme
3. BSc Top-up Applicants are required to select two (2) distinct programmes
4. Certificate and other applicants are required to select only one (1) Programme

Note: Choice of Programme must be carefully done in the order of preference. The same
Programme cannot be chosen twice.

UMaT Applicant Photo Specifications

Applicants are to upload a recent passport photo. The specifications for the passport photo are as follows:

• It must have a clear white background
• It must be a JPEG file format
• Its dimensions must be 3.5cm x 4.5cm
• The scanned soft copy must not be more than 65kb
• The photo must show the broad face and two ears
• The photo must be devoid of headgear and spectacles
• Self-captured and other phone photos will not be accepted

How to Post UMaT Application Summary

Applicants are to post a summary of their University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) application summary to the University’s student academic affairs to complete their application process. Applicants are to adhere to these guidelines when posting their applications.

• Applicants are to print out and sign the completed online application summary.
• The corroborator must fill out, sign and stamp his or her portion. He or She Must be one of the following
  • Senior Officer in a Public or Private Institution.
  • A Chief /Traditional Authority
  • An ordained Reverend Minister or Imam.
  • Head teacher of an Educational Institution
• The birth certificate, and education result slip must be attached to the printed online application summary
• Two passport pictures must be attached to the online application summary.
• Applicants must write the application code on the envelope before posting by courier services (EMS/DHL/Fedex) to the University through the address:

How to check UMaT Admission Status 2024/2025

The UMaT admission checker portal allows applicants to check the status of their application, download admission letters, access information about fees and the date to report to school. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to check your UMaT admission status;

1. Visit the UMaT Admission List portal
2. Enter your Application reference number (Check your SMS or Application summary)
3. Click on the print icon next to your name
4. Enter your voucher SERIAL and PIN to log in
5. Wait for the system to authenticate and redirect to the dashboard
6. Your admission information, link to download your letter, date to report and fees information will be displayed
7. Congratulations

UMaT Admission Deadline 2024

The closing date for the University of Mines and Technology – UMaT admission process is scheduled to end on December 16, 2024. Applications received after the closing date will not be processed.
