AIT Entry Requirements 2024/2025

Certificate of Technology (CTech)

Entry Requirement

Senior Secondary/High School Certificate Examination (SS/HSCE) or West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE)

Diploma of Technology (DTech)

Entry Requirement
Senior Secondary/High School Certificate Examination (SS/HSCE) or West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE) or equivalent With an aggregate score of 24 or better in six subjects including passes in, Three Core Subjects (including Core English, and Core Mathematics) plus Three Electives or a certificate in any program related to the field of study

Bachelor’s Degree

Entry Requirement

  • Senior Secondary/High School Certificate Examination (SS/HSCE) or West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE) or equivalent With an aggregate score of 24 or better in six subjects including passes in, Three Core Subjects (including Core English, and Core Mathematics) plus Three Electives
  • For Engineering or Computer Science Programs, the Three electives should include Elective Mathematics and Elective Science (Physics, plus Chemistry or Biology)

OR any one or more of the following qualifications:

  • Two (2) GCE Advanced Level passes in Science and five GCE Ordinary Level credits in Science
  • Two (2) of the GCE Ordinary Level credits should be English and Mathematics.
  • Other recognized local and international diplomas and certificates (including City and Guilds) deemed equivalent to the above will be considered on merit

Holders of AIT’s CTech/DTech

  • Holders of AIT’s CTech/DTech qualifications in a subject area relevant to the program the candidate is applying for
  • You must meet the minimum score and other requirements that will be stipulated from time to time by the AIT Academic Standards Board to qualify for transfer to the degree program

Holders of Teacher’s Certificate

  • Holders of Teacher’s Certificate A’ with a minimum of 3-year qualification experience

HNC/HND Holders

  • HNC/HND Holders with Second Class Lower or better
  • The HNC/HND must be obtained in an equivalent or relevant subject area of the program the candidate is applying for
  • Qualified HNC holders will be admitted at Level 200 of the degree program and holders of HND will be admitted on a top-up program which starts at Level 300 of the degree program

Mature Students

  • Mature Students Applicants who are 25 years and above working or having worked for 3 years or more can apply as mature candidates
  • Mature candidates will be required to write a university entrance examination in three papers: General Mathematics, English and General Studies equivalent to Senior Secondary/High School level.
  • Only with a pass mark of 60% or above in each of these papers will be admitted

Offline Admission Form (Option A)

  1. Download the printable version of the application form Printable PDF
  2. Print your admission form
  3. Complete your admission form offline
  4. Go to any branch of Ghana commercial bank in the country
  5. Pay your application processing fee (AIT bank details and the fees are on the application form)
  6. Send the Completed Form and a photocopy of the pay-in (cash deposit) slip to us by post or by registered mail

Fillable PDF or MS Word form (Option B)

  1. Visit AIT Admission Portal
  2. Download the PDF or MS word form via AIT Fillable PDF
  3. Complete it on your computer
  4. Send the completed form to AIT as an e-mail attachment to the e-mail address on the form
  5. Go to any Ghana commercial bank branch and pay-in your application processing fee (AIT bank details and the fees are on the application form)
  6. Write your full name on top of the pay-in-slip
  7.  Send a photocopy of the pay-in-slip to us by post or by registered mail or scan and send the pay-in (cash deposit) slip to us as an e-mail attachment

Online Admission Form (Option C)

  1. Visit AIT Admission Portal via AIT Admission Portal
  2. Click on APPLY ONLINE
  3. Click on New Applicants
  4. Enter all the required details 
  5. Click on continue
  6. Complete the forms and submit it online
  7. Go to any Ghana commercial bank branch and pay-in your application processing fee (bank details and the fees are on the application form)
  8. Write your full name on top of the pay-in-slip
  9. Scan and send the pay-in (cash deposit) slip to us as an e-mail attachment or send a photocopy of the pay-in-slip to us by post or by registered mail

AIT Online Admission Deadline Date 2024
