The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has commenced the recruitment of temporal electoral officials for the 2024 election. Interested and qualified persons are to check the application requirements and follow the guidelines in this article to submit their application.
Electoral Officials Positions
The Electoral Commission is currently seeking to recruit officials for the following positions;
- Registration Officers
- Exhibition Officers
- Presiding Officers
- Registration Assistants (Data entry Clerks and Lamination Officers)
- Exhibition Assistants
- Polling Assistants (Verification Officers, Ballot Issuers and name reference list officers)

Duties and Responsibilities of Temporal EC Officials
Selected applicants will be required to participate in activities of the Electoral Commission scheduled for 2024, such as the Voter Registration Exercise, Exhibition of Voters Register and the General Election.

Duration of Engagement
Successful applicants will be engaged in all three major activities to be completed by the Electoral Commission for the 2024 election.

Application Requirements for Electoral Officials
- The minimum academic qualification for the Registration Officer, Exhibition Officer and Presiding Officer should be a First Degree.
- The minimum academic qualification for Registration Assistant, Exhibition Assistant and Polling Assistant should be HND, Teacher Cert “A”, Diploma or it’s equivalent.
- An appreciable knowledge of elections and the terrain in which the Applicant wishes to work will be an advantage.
Besides the academic qualifications, Applicants are expected to demonstrate the following technical and personal competencies.
Personal Competences
- physical and mental alertness
- Able to work under pressure.
- High level of honesty and integrity.
- Good team prayer.
- Politically neutral
Technical Competences
- Quantitative skills. and analytical skills
- A good working experience in collating data, and figures. etc.
