The IUO Admission Portal is where potential students apply for different academic programs. IUO also provides a JUPEB program for students looking to improve their qualifications before pursuing higher education. Additionally, you can also access your student portal to check your semester results online and secure your international scholarship.

How to Access your IUO Admission Portal 2024

Follow the procedure below on how to access your Igbinedion University admission forms online

  1. Visit the Website via iuokada.waeup.org
  2. On the webpage, click on the Application button
  3. You will be automatically redirected to your Applicants Section page
  4. Then select your admission type (e.g Online Admission Undergraduate Application 2024/2025)
  5. Click Register for Application at the top left of this page
  6. Then enter your First name, Middle name, Surname, Email Address, and Phone Number
  7. Your Login ID and Password will be sent to your email
  8. Click the link in your email to continue
  9. Then, visit the website via iuokada.waeup.org, and click Login (top right)
  10. Enter your username and password to log in

How to Make Payment to Igbinedion University 2024

Follow the procedure below to make payments to Igbinedion University 

  1. Visit the Website via iuokada.waeup.org
  2. Enter your username and password to log in
  3. Click on Add online payment ticket at the bottom of the page
  4. Then choose Pay with Interswitch or Etransact on the top left corner of the page
  5. Follow the instructions to pay the application fee using a valid ATM-Enabled Card from any Commercial Bank in Nigeria
  6. Alternatively, payment for the application fee can be made by Bank Draft payable to Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State

IUO Admission Requirements 2024/2025

General Entry Requirements

  • Candidates must have a minimum of five credits in GCE/WAEC, SSCE/NECO, or SSCE/NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, not obtained in more than two sittings
  • For Law, a credit pass in Literature in English is required
  • Candidates awaiting GCE/NECO SSCE/WAEC SSCE/NABTEB results can apply, provided the results will be available by September when the new session begins

Admission into 200 Level

Applicable to degree programs (except Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Law)

Qualifications for entry into the 200 level include

  • Passes in at least two subjects at the Advanced level and an additional subject at the subsidiary level in the GCE Examination
  • Diploma/NCE at a credit level pass or above in relevant subjects from a recognized institution
  • IJMB in the appropriate subjects
  • First Degree in a relevant discipline

Candidates must also meet matriculation requirements: five credit passes at the GCE/WAEC SSCE/NECO SSCE/NABTEB examinations

Evidence of application to JAMB is mandatory

UTME Requirement

Candidates must sit for UTME and achieve the prescribed cut-off marks, a statutory requirement for entry into Nigerian universities

Transfer Students

For those seeking transfer to Igbinedion University, Okada, provide an official Academic Transcript and a JAMB transfer form signed by the current University
