University of Venda Admission Requirements

When applying for undergraduate studies, you must upload copies of the following documents in PDF format:

  1. Your ID or passport
  2. Your Grade 11 final results with the school’s stamp. If you are a current student at another institution of higher learning, include your academic record as well
  3. Academic record and certificate of good conduct (if you have already studied at a tertiary institution)
  4. Copy of study/residence permit/medical insurance/SAQA Evaluation Certificate (if you are an international applicant)
  5. Proof of payment (R100 application fee) payable to ABSA account no 1000 000 589. Use your ID number or student number as your reference
  6. A testimonial of good conduct
  7. A Matriculation /NSC/NCV certificate or, if not yet available, some form of proof that the prospective student complies with the necessary requirements for the degree they desire to register for or a statement of the last school symbol achieved

How to Apply to the University of Venda Online 2024

To apply for UNIVEN, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the UNIVEN Application portal via univenien.univen.ac.za
  2. If you don’t have a student number yet, select No and apply here.
  3. For returning applicants, select No to complete the application.
  4. If you don’t have a Qualification Specific Token, select No
  5. Read and accept the Application Rules
  6. Provide your biographical details (including South African Identity Number, Personal info, street address, contact, residence, and disability info)
  7. Enter your Account details
  8. Input Next of kin details
  9. Provide your Academic details
  10. Make an Online Payment for the UNIVEN application fee, following the provided instructions
  11. Select the program of your choice
  12. Create a 5-digit PIN (Avoid starting/ending with Zero and repeating numbers)
  13. Print a copy for your records
  14. Upload the required documents
  15. The system will generate your student number

  • Keep your Student Number and 5-digit PIN safe as you will need them to retrieve your admission letter or check UNIVEN admission status.

How to Upload Supporting Documents to UNIVEN

To upload supporting documents via the University Of Venda Online Application Portal, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the My Access Portal
  2. Log in as a Student using your Student Number and PIN
  3. Navigate to Student Enquiry
  4. Click on Certificate Seen
  5. Choose the type of document you want to upload.
  6. Click on Load/View Document
  7. Upload the document

How to Make UNIVEN Payment Online

Follow the steps below to make payment to the University Of Venda

  1. To make the payment by credit or debit card
  2. Click on the option labeled Pay by Credit card
  3. Enter the following credit/debit card details (Card Number, Card Holder Name, Expiry date (Months and Year), CVV Numbers (the last three digits on the back of the card)
  4. Click on Pay Now
  5. On this screen, you will receive a message instructing you to submit the One Time Password (OTP) sent to your cellphone to proceed with the purchase
  6. Enter the One Time Password (OTP) in the provided space and click NEXT
  7. You will be directed to a screen displaying the message Successful E Payment, press exit
  8. Additionally, you will immediately receive a payment receipt notification from Univen support via the email address you provide

UNIVEN Returning Student Application

These are the step-by-step instructions for the Enabler application process for returning students:
  1. Go to MyAccess in your portal
  2. Provide your Student Number and PIN
  3. Click on the Login button.
  4. Select Academic Application
  5. Optionally, enter your Previous Qualification details
  6. Review and Accept the Application Rules
  7. Click on Submit Application
  8. Use the Search button and enter the qualification code
  9. Click on the qualification to proceed with your application
  10. Enter your qualification Study Choices
  11. Save your progress and click Continue
  12. Review the Application Detail and click  Accept application
