The State College of Education, Afaha Nsit, situated in Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, was established three years after the creation of Akwa Ibom State. Recognizing the need for a science-based institution to train middle-level manpower in science education, the state government founded the college, officially opening for lectures in January 1991.
