FCT College Of Education Zuba
FCT College of Education, Zuba, situated in Abuja, Nigeria, was established in 1996 under the initiative of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The college originated from a committee formed, including members from the Department of Education FCDA, with the aim of providing high-quality teacher education, particularly in Science and Nigerian Languages. Initially located at the defunct Teachers College Zuba, it underwent reorganization in May 2000 and reopened in April 2001 with improved resources and qualified staff.
Dr. Umma Abdulwahid became the new Provost, leading the mission to train teachers with high moral values and academic excellence, focusing on Sciences, Vocational, and Technical Subjects. Offering programs leading to the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE), the college follows a thorough admission process, including Post-UTME screenings.
