eZaga is one of the leading direct payments and digital banking platforms used by NSFAS beneficiaries in selected institutions to receive allowances into their NSFAS Bank account in partnership with MasterCard. In the quest to disburse funds quickly and efficiently, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has partnered with some selected digital banking platforms such as eZaga, Coinvest, Norraco, and Tenetech to curb student payment delays.

NSFAS beneficiaries in the following institutions are required to register for an eZaga NSFAS account and log in to access their funds;
- Durban University of Technology (DUT)
- Tshwane University of Technology
- University of the Free State
- University of Limpopo
- University of Zululand
- Vaal University of Technology
How Register for NSFAS eZaga Account
- Visit the eZaga registration portal via www.ezagaportal.online/nsfas
- Enter your ID number and click on the Continue button
- Enter answers to the security question
- Take a clear picture of your latest ID document (Front image of ID)
- Take a picture of you holding your latest ID document under your chin
- Wait for approval SMS to be sent to your phone from eZaga
- congratulations, your NSFAS eZaga account has been created

How to activate eZaga NSFAS Mastercard
Students enrolled onto the eZaga digital banking platform have two(2) options that can be used to activate their eZaga account. These options are the eZaga USSD channel and the eZaga Mobile app option.
How to activate your eZaga NSFAS Account with *120*1109# USSD shortcode
- Dial the USSD shortcode *120*1109# on your phone
- Enter your eZaga account password
- Select Option 8
- Select Option 1
- Enter the card pin received via the SMS
- Congratulations, youreZaga NSFAS Mastercard account should now be activated

How to activate your eZaga NSFAS account with Mobile App
- Download and Log into the eZaga Mobile App
- Click on 3 vertical lines at the top left corner
- Select cards
- Click on the Activate button
- A PIN will be generated and sent to your phone
- Enter the PIN received via SMS
NSFAS Payment Date
Payment of NSFAS beneficiaries occurs on the 25th of each month. A notification via mobile phone will be sent to you when funds are deposited into your accounts.
