KDF Recruitment Portal 2024. The Kenya Defence Force – KDF has commenced the recruitment of new members into the units of the Army, Airforce, Navy, General Service Officers (GSO), cadets, specialist officers, and tradesmen and women.  In this post, we will assist our readers with guidelines on how to access the KDF application portal via mod.go.ke login and register to begin the application process. We will also outline the general entry requirements for applicants and the closing date for all applications.

Kenya Defence Force – KDF Entry Requirements 2024

An applicant interested in joining the Kenya Defence Force is required to meet these general entry requirements alongside the requirements for their unit of interest;

• Applicants must be Kenyan citizens with no dual citizenship
• An applicant must hold a valid Kenyan National Identity Card
• Applicants must be between Ages 18 – 26 years for GSO Cadets, General Duty Recruits and Tradesmen/women with Certificate/Government Trade Test, not above 30 years for Specialist Officers, Tradesmen/women with Diploma, and not above 39 years for Chaplains/Imaams.
• Be physically and medically fit in accordance with the KDF medical standards.
• Applicant must have no criminal record.
• A Minimum Height of 1.60m (5ft 3in) for Male applicants and 1.52m (5ft) for Female applicants
• Female applicants must NOT be pregnant at the time of recruitment and during the entire duration of training.

How to Create a KDF Recruitment Account

Follow these guidelines to create your Kenya Defence Force Recruitment account ;

• Visit the KDF online Application Portal via www.applications.mod.go.ke
• Click on the Register link
• Enter your official name as indicated on your National ID
• Enter your phone number, email and desired password
• Confirm your password
• Click on the register button
• You will receive a notification of a successfully submitted application
• Dial *456*9*5*5*1# to allow messages on your phone
• Tick the information declaration box which serves as your signature
• Enter your Kenya National ID Nuber
• Click on the proceed button
• Enter Select your KCSE Grade from the list
• Enter your Date of Birth
• Fill out all the required information to complete the process
• Congratulations, your account should now be created successfully

Note: THIS ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL IS ONLY FOR SPECIALISTS, TRADESMEN/WOMEN AND CRAFTS. Other Units recruitment will be conducted at the various KDF recruitment centers at the various counties on the given dates.

Follow these guidelines to log into your KDF recruitment portal once you have successfully created your Kenya Defence Recruitment account;

• Visit the KDF online Application Portal via www.applications.mod.go.ke
• Enter your Phone number and password
• Click on the login button 
• wait for the system to authenticate and redirect you to the dashboard

Kenya Defence Force – KDF Recruitment Closing Date 2024

The date for Kenya Defence Force (KDF) recruitment for 2024 is scheduled to start on 30th July, 2024 and end on 20th August 2024 for specialists officers and tradesmen and 30th August for other units.
