Futminna Admission Requirements 2024/2025

General Admission Requirements

To be eligible for Postgraduate Studies at the Federal University of Technology, Minna:

• Obtain five credits in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE (‘O’ Level) or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
• No admission is granted based on awaiting results, and no exemptions are made for any program.

Ph.D. Program

For admission to the PhD Program:

• Candidates must hold a Master’s degree from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, or any recognized university.
• A Master’s degree applicant must have a minimum weighted score average of 60% or a ‘B’ grade or a CGPA of 3.50 out of 5.00.
• For candidates with weaker backgrounds, additional courses may be prescribed at the discretion of the School/Department.

Master Degree Programs

For Master’s Degree Programs:

• A minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) degree is required.
• Third Class Honours with at least 3 years of graduation experience may be considered in some cases.
• HND with a minimum of Lower Credit, OND Lower Credit, and a Postgraduate Diploma with at least a minimum of Lower Credit and one year graduation experience may be considered.

Note:

• NYSC certificate or exemption letter is required
• Candidates with a PASS grade at any level do not qualify for admission to PhD/Master/PGD programs
• Diploma candidates with a CGPA less than 2.50 do not qualify for Master’s Degree Programs
