The Walter Sisulu University – WSU Student Email is the official student communication email assigned to every student of the university to be used for all academic activities once a student is offered admission. Fresh Students or returning students are required to use this email to access all the university’s online resources such as the WSU Student Portal, and WSU eLearning portal among others.

About the WSU Student Email
- The default password for first-year students is the student’s identity number.
- Remember to check for reminders and overdue notices from the library in your inbox.
- Email accounts are created automatically for all WSU-registered students.
- The email address is the studentno@mywsu.ac.za (Example: 220123456@mywsu.ac.za)

How to Log into WSU Student Email Account
Follow these steps to access your Walter Sisulu University student email and log in with your email ID and password;
- Visit the WSU website at www.wsu.ac.za
- Navigate down to the Connect Me link
- Select WSU Staff and Student Email
- Enter your student email ID and password in the respective input fields
- Click on the Next button to proceed
- Wait for the system to authenticate your credentials and redirect to your email account
How to Register for WSU Courses
Follow the procedure below to register for your Walter Sisulu University courses
- Visit the WSU portal via ie.wsu.ac.za
- Enter your Student Number and Pin
- Click on Login
- Click either on the Register Online or the Academic Information
- Complete the medical aid information
- Then click on the Next button to proceed
- Complete the Financial Declaration section
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- Click on Apply to move forward
- Click on the Register Online button to complete your registration
