NHIMA Portal. Discover the Zambia National Health Insurance Management Authority – NHIMA self-service portal and log in with your username and password to access all your health insurance activities online. In this article, we will assist you with a detailed guideline on how to register for an NHIMA account and how to access your NHIMA number among other services.

NHIMA Online Registration Process

All recognized Zambian citizens and permanent residents can register for a National Health Insurance Scheme – NHIMA account online with the following steps;

• Visit the NHIMA Website at https://www.nhima.co.zm
• Click on the login link under the Membership menu (NB: Click on the menu button if you are using a mobile phone)
• Click on your preferred account type (ie. Employer, personal, agent)
• Click on the sign-up link located beneath the login button
• Fill out the registration form with all your required details
  • Full Name
  • ZRA Tax PIN (Enter your Passport number if you are a foreigner)
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Marital Status
  • Phone number
  • Email
• A confirmation text will be sent to your phone via SMS with details of your NHIMA Membership ID and default password
• Congratulations, your NHIMA Registration is now complete

How to Log into your NHIMA Portal

Follow these steps to log into your Zambia National Health Insurance membership portal;

• Visit the NHIMA Website at https://www.nhima.co.zm
• Click on the login link under the Membership menu (NB: Click on the menu button if you are using a mobile phone)
• Click on your preferred account type (ie. Employer, personal, agent)
• Enter your member ID and password for personal account holders. Enter your employer account number, email address, and  password if you are an employer
• Click on the login button to sign-in
• Wait for the system to authenticate your credentials and redirect you to your NHIMA account dashboard
