The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) portal is a self-service online platform that enables both students and practitioners to complete all administrative activities online. The portal allows members to carry out a wide array of activities such as;

- Continuous Professional Development (CPDs)

How to Register on the NMCZ Portal
Students and new practitioners are required to create a Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) membership account to be able to access online services using the following steps;
- Access the NMCZ Online Registration form
- Select your preferred status (eg. Student or Practioner)
- Enter your Index number, NRC number and email address if you are a student
- Enter your Registration number, NCR number and email address if you are a practitioner
- Click on the Register for Online Services button
- You will receive an email with your username and password which will be used to log into the portal
NMCZ Portal Login
Practitioners and students of the Zambia General Nursing Council are required to log into the GNC self-service portal with these steps;
- Access the GNC Portal via www.portal.gnc.org.zm
- Enter your username and password (NB: The username is your email and the default password was sent to your email after registration.)
- Click on the sign-in button to proceed to your NMCZ Portal dashboard

NMCZ Student Indexing Process
The NMCZ Student Indexing activity allows NMCZ as a body to capture and record student data in a central database for easy profiling and identification of members. Students can apply for the NMCZ indexing with the following steps;
- Visit the NMCZ Portal at www.portal.gnc.org.zm
- Click on the signup for online services link
- Identify and click on the New Indexing link at the bottom of the page
- Fill out the GNC indexing form with all the required details
- Save your entries and continue the process
